Enter the hue value. This should be an angle from 0░ to 360░. The primary colors are red at 0░, yellow at 60░, green at 120░, cyan at 180░, blue at 240░, magenta at 300░ and red again at 360░.
Enter the saturation value. This is the percentage of white that should be added to the color.
Enter the value. This is the percentage of black that should be added to the color.
This panel shows the currently selected color.
Drag the cross left and right to alter the hue. Click to set the cross at a particular position.
Drag the cross around to set saturation and value. Click to set the cross at a particular position.
Enter the amount of red. This should be a value in the range of 0 to 255.
Enter the amount of green. This should be a value in the range of 0 to 255.
Enter the amount of blue. This should be a value in the range of 0 to 255.
Select the required font.
This will set the current font aspect ratio ie the ratio of the character width to character height. The value should be in the range 10% to 1000%. The default is 100%.
This will set the font style to be bold, but only if such a style exists for this font.
This will set the font style to be italic or oblique.
This panel shows the required text in the current font style.
Enter the required text here. This should be a maximum of 50 characters.
This sets the depth of the extruded text. The maximum depth is 1000.
Clear this to prevent the front face from being displayed.
Clear this to prevent the back face from being displayed.
The outside edges may be rounded or mitered. Note that the edges affected are those around the circumference of the object. The front and back edges are altered by selecting the various bevel styles.
The outside edges may be rounded or mitered. Note that the edges affected are those around the circumference of the object. The front and back edges are altered by selecting the various bevel styles.
This affects the shape of the bevel. Higher values give a bevel that will protrude more and may create an object where the text becomes unreadable. The maximum depth is 1000.
Select the bevel shape. This will alter the shape of the side faces and the edges of the front and back faces.
This will alter the text color. Note that its appearance is also affected by the current lighting eg a yellow object with a cyan light will appear green and with a blue light it will be black.
Set for a dull non-reflecting surface.
Set for a shiny surface with highlights.
The animation will be played back at this rate. The lower the value, the longer the animation will be. Too high a value may create an animation that is too fast to be played back without skipping frames. Too low a value will create a jerky animation.
Rotate the text in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction.
The image will be saved with a default palette.
Saves the image with a palette optimized for that image.
The image may be saved without dithering. This may result in an image with banding of colours, but, if compression is used, the image will compress better.
The image may be saved using ordered dither.
The image may be saved using diffused dither. This will give the best image results, but the background may appear to judder between frames when animated.
Sets the color depth to 8 bits per pixel ie up to 256 colors.
Sets the color depth to 16 bits per pixel ie up to 65536 colors.
Sets the color depth to 24 bits per pixel.
The picture will be created just large enough to contain the image at its current size.
This is a percentage with 0% the lowest quality, and 100% the highest quality.
Sets the color depth to 4 bits per pixel ie 16 colors.
Compressed images will be much smaller than uncompressed images, but the image quality may be much lower.
As the text rotates, only the front face will be shown, hence the text will always read correctly and will not appear reversed. This may cause the text to jump as its direction is changed.
Set this option to make the background of the image transparent.
If this option is set, then each frame of the animation will have a separate optimized palette, otherwise a single palette will be used for the whole animation. Having a single palette results in smaller files, but a palette per frame results in higher quality images.
Set this option if the image is to use an optimized palette.
When an interlaced file is loaded into an application which supports interlacing, the picture will first appear as a low resolution image and then with increasing resolution as more of the file is loaded. This technique is used commonly on the Web to improve the appearance of bitmaps as they are downloaded. If you do not use interlacing, the picture will only be displayed when the whole image has been downloaded.
Click to select the HSV color model.
Click to select the RGB color model.
